1. Who we are
Turnfolk is provided by Masi Creative AB, Sweden ("Masi Creative", "we", "us", or "our"). Questions about these terms, purchases, or the app can be sent to support@masicreative.se.
2. Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing, testing, purchasing content in, or using Turnfolk, you agree to these terms. If you are not legally able to agree on your own, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you and supervise your use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
3. What Turnfolk provides
Turnfolk is a collection of board and dice games designed for local pass-and-play on one shared device. It does not currently provide online multiplayer, matchmaking, or a Turnfolk account. Game availability, supported player counts, and recommended rule variants are described inside the app.
Pre-release and TestFlight or Google Play testing builds may contain unfinished features or defects and may change before public release. They should not be relied on for any safety-critical or essential purpose.
4. Personal-use licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Turnfolk for personal, non-commercial entertainment on devices permitted by the store through which you obtained it. You may share the device with family and friends as part of Turnfolk's intended local multiplayer experience.
You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, copy, modify, reverse engineer, extract source code from, or create derivative works from Turnfolk except where applicable law expressly allows it. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences.
5. Local saves and devices
Player names, settings, active matches, and game progress are stored locally on the device. Turnfolk does not currently provide cloud backup or cross-device synchronization. Removing the app, clearing its storage, resetting or losing the device, or certain device failures may permanently remove local data.
6. Optional purchases
The free download includes a permanent selection of free games. Turnfolk may offer optional one-time purchases, including:
- Full Game Collection: access to all premium games released as part of the Turnfolk game collection, including later additions, while Turnfolk remains available and compatible with your platform.
- Visual-theme packs: access to the specific visual pack identified at purchase.
Purchases are associated with the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to buy them. They may be restored on compatible devices using that same store account. Purchases do not automatically transfer between Apple and Google accounts or between their stores. An internet connection may be required to buy, verify, or restore content.
7. Billing, refunds, and consumer rights
Apple or Google processes all payments and may apply its own billing, family-sharing, cancellation, and refund rules. Masi Creative does not receive your complete payment-card details. Refund requests should normally be made through the store where the purchase occurred.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Depending on where you live, digital content may carry legal guarantees and rights when it is faulty or not as described. Store procedures do not remove those mandatory rights.
8. Updates and compatibility
We may update Turnfolk to add games, improve performance, correct rules or defects, maintain compatibility, meet legal requirements, or protect the app and its users. Supported operating-system versions and devices may change over time. We will not intentionally remove access to purchased content without a valid legal, security, or technical reason and, where mandatory law requires it, an appropriate remedy.
9. Intellectual property
Turnfolk, its original code, interface, illustrations, sounds, branding, and written content are owned by Masi Creative or used under licence. Traditional game concepts and rules may be in the public domain; our particular presentation and original materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
10. Responsible use
You must not misuse Turnfolk, interfere with its security or store purchase verification, distribute unauthorized copies, use it unlawfully, or attempt to gain access to content through fraud or technical circumvention. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address serious misuse, fraud, security threats, or legal obligations.
11. Our responsibility
We provide Turnfolk with reasonable care and aim for the games and purchases to work as described, but no software is completely free from interruptions or defects. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or losses arising from business or commercial use of this consumer app.
We do not exclude responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or mandatory consumer remedies.
12. Store and platform terms
Your use of Turnfolk is also subject to the rules and terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play and to the device platform you use. For Apple-distributed versions, Apple's standard end-user licence agreement applies unless a valid custom licence is presented through App Store Connect. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing Turnfolk support on our behalf; contact Masi Creative for app support.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Turnfolk and this website handle information. The current app is designed for offline play without Turnfolk accounts, advertising, or analytics SDKs.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when Turnfolk, its purchases, applicable laws, or store requirements change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page. If a change materially affects existing rights or paid content, we will provide notice where reasonably practical or legally required.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections or dispute forums available under the laws of your country of residence. Please contact support@masicreative.se first so we can try to resolve any concern.
